About Taste of Summer

Taste of Summer is an annual family-friendly outdoor food festival that showcases Tasmania’s amazing local produce and entertainment. Held on Hobart’s iconic waterfront, Taste of Summer is a vibrant Tasmanian institution enjoyed by locals and visitors alike. Food lovers flock to the event each year in their thousands to enjoy a smorgasbord of Tasmanian produce and entertainment in an idyllic setting.

The Brief

The Taste of Summer website and online presence is always growing and evolving- as is the event itself. The Taste of Summer team reached out to Kings Digital when they recognised their need for a dynamic digital partner who could work across multiple channels and deliver continuous refinement of their presence as the event grew closer. Initially, the website was configured to provide information about stallholders, ticket sales, and general event information. As the Taste of Summer event grew closer, we shifted focus to provide more in-depth information, with a dynamic listing of all stallholders and an artist lineup.

During the event, we introduced a new navigation bar that allowed visitors to find all information about the event with a single click.

“This is the second year that the team at Kings Digital have built and co-designed our Taste of Summer website and I’m constantly impressed with their communication, recommendations, and clever design. They built templates that I found easy to use, they spoke in a language that I could understand, and they listened and delivered results which were better than what I could have imagined.”

OUR SOLUTION

Highly flexible and adaptive website

Together with the Taste of Summer team, Kings Digital assisted with a focus on website development and new features, and email newsletter design and development.

Kings Digital created a website that is highly flexible and adaptive to content, which allows us to make fast changes. As the content changes, the design changes too, so the website is always the best current representation of the Taste of Summer.
