The Brief:

Artable is an established arts business operating for over 16 years, offering guided art classes, workshops, and retreats led by well-known and emerging artists.

Artable approached us with a major conversion problem. Despite strong demand and an engaged audience, their website created friction in the booking process, leading to high drop-off rates. Additionally, Artable also lacked a structured marketing strategy, limiting their ability to attract new customers and scale beyond their existing community.

Kings Digital worked with Artable to improve their website conversion rate and user experience, reduce booking friction, build a scalable marketing strategy, and generate new demand while maximising existing interest.

Website Development

We rebuilt Artable’s website on Shopify with custom functionality tailored to booking workshops and retreats, creating a more seamless and intuitive experience from the ground up.

Alongside this, we mapped and optimised the full customer journey to remove friction points and ensure users could move from discovery through to booking.

The new website kept people on the site longer, with users spending over a minute on average exploring workshops and content.

At the same time, the bounce rate dropped sharply from 80% to just 8%, showing that visitors were far more engaged and likely to continue through to booking, especially those coming from paid social.

Paid ads

We implemented a performance-driven marketing strategy across both Meta and Google to capture and convert demand at every stage. Using Shopify product feeds, we launched Meta catalogue ads to dynamically promote workshops, allowing users to discover relevant experiences in a highly personalised, scroll-stopping format.

Additionally, we rolled out Google Performance Max campaigns targeting high-intent search behaviour, ensuring Artable showed up when potential customers were actively looking to book.

These channels were brought together through a full-funnel marketing approach designed to engage both new and returning audiences, while ongoing education around metrics, tracking, and campaign performance empowered the client with clear visibility and confidence as the strategy scaled.
